Artist Statement

My practice concerns with the issue of depression that gravitates towards isolation within an individual in a secluded area. My creation in printmaking allows me to explore different methods of using textures and mark making in evoking a certain emotion. Making texture and marks allows unexpected outcomes to form. I am always excited about exploring different methods in my art practice and it allows me to experience various personal emotions such as anger, happiness and a sense of accomplishment. Tthrough my progress of research works, it allows me to briefly understand and give perspective towards the issue.
